The developments for the A500 mini seem never to stop. This time it’s the legends from Team Pandory with their latest Pandory500 “mod” for our beloved A500 mini.
This isn’t just any old “mod” either. Utilising the power of RetroArch, Pandory500 V2 blows open the A500 mini for not only for Amiga emulation with Amiberry 5 but also a whole host of other emulators, turning the humble A500 mini into an emulation beast. It’s also compatible with the latest version 1.1.1 of the A500 mini firmware, utilising all the additional features and bug fixes released in the latest firmware update.
Flexing the mini console’s muscles, The A500 mini Pandory Mod shows off the system’s power with emulators such as PlayStation 1, PSP and Dreamcast, all running like butter.

Installation is a breeze, simply download the package from their GitHub and write it to a USB stick (recommended USB3 for quick PC transfers) and you’re away, Pop on your favourite ROMs and you’ll be enjoying everything the mini has to offer, not forgetting full Amiga emulation using Amiberry 5.
Our initial testing of Pandory500 V2 was nothing short of breathtaking. Clearly, a lot of time has been invested into the “mod” which includes video guides and tutorials within the software to guide you in setting it up into your very own A500 mini emulation masterpiece. Visually, it’s stunning and even features a rocking little menu soundtrack to keep you company whilst choosing what to play next.
We’re still in the process of loading up our own installation and tweaking it for our own taste. We’ll be putting together a video of our experiences very soon. If you have any suggestions or requests on what you’d like to see in the video then please let us know in the comments.
