I keep a sharp eye on all the comments our wonderful visitors leave on R32 and like to go that extra mile when it comes to requests – Especially if that request is for the glory of the Amiga community. In a comment on our article X COPY PROFESSIONAL 6.4 AMIGA 1200 1 TO 2 (2 EXTERNAL CUMANA DRIVES) from the self-proclaimed “miggyrules” (yes it bloody does) asked for a copy of the utility disk we used. Since it was actually a physical disk we had to think outside the box on how we could create an ADF from a 30-year-old Amiga floppy disk.

Since we’re all about the good of the Amiga community – I dug out a Cumana external drive and mounted an x-copy ADF together with a sacrificial ADF file and BOOM – here is the result.

We’ve only ever used this on our Amiga 1200 and unfortunately, she’s undergoing some repairs. The ADF image boots under WinUAE running an Amiga 1200 (kickstart 3.1) but not on anything less than kick start 2.04 – so you’ll need at least an Amiga 500+ to run this beaut.

The disk itself looks like it was a homebrew creation using power menu. I do have some vague recollection of doing something very similar back in the day so it’s great to see that these types of compilations have now been cemented in history in the form of an ADF courtesy of yours truly.

Enough talking and as per the request of “miggyrules” – please find below the ADF of the disk used in the article X COPY PROFESSIONAL 6.4 AMIGA 1200 1 TO 2 (2 EXTERNAL CUMANA DRIVES)
