Upgrade your A1200 to an A1208 with this stunning little 8MB fast ram board which also features an FPU.
This affordable little upgrade slides neatly into the bottom expansion port (trap door) of the A1200 and adds a whopping 8MB of fast ram in addition to the 2MB already on board. The additional FAST RAM allows the use of WHDLoad and other memory-hungry software on the Amiga 1200. See the video below of this board in action.
Note that this expansion board offers an MC68882 FPU. The screenshot shows 4MB – this is due to it being configured for the PCMCIA. There is a jumper allowing the card to be used in 2MB (off), 4MB, 5.5MB and 8MB modes.
** Note that if you are using a PCMCIA card you will need to have the jumper removed in order to limit the card to 4MB and still have use of the PCMCIA slot.
